Care Line Lifeline Pendant

A Care Line is an inexpensive system for summoning help for the disabled or elderly in their own home. By wearing a simple button on a wrist strap, or pendant at all times, you and relatives can have piece of mind – knowing that the elderly or disabled person can get help as soon as they press that button. The Careline plugs into an existing telephone socket which may or may not be in the correct central location where you spend the most time. A Social Services representative will normally visit and assess the patient and home for suitability. If you need your telephone point shifted or moved for a Careline to be fitted, I can do this work quickly, neatly and cheaply so please contact me.

Care Line - How it works

A unit is installed about the size of a box of tissues usually in your lounge on a small accessible table or shelf. It forms a monitored intercom system between your house and a manned control centre. Once you press the button, the unit dials the control, and someone will answer. You will hear their voice loudly and clearly and can hold a normal conversation with them. They will have your records, call you by name and will ask if you are OK. If they don’t get the response they are hoping for they will call the emergency services, or possibly a key holder or neighbour.

You need a Telephone Socket in a suitable position..

When ordering a Lifeline Care Line pendant monitored alarm unit for the elderly, you must think about the existing telephone socket position. Where is it in relation to where is best for the unit to go. It’s easy for me to fix a new extension socket in your lounge, next to a power point, ready for your Careline.

Lifeline Careline Extension Telephone Socket

The Lifeline Care Line Pendant Alarm control box needs to be plugged into an electric socket, and also a telephone extension socket.

If you don’t have a telephone socket in a suitable central location, you will either need to contact BT or myself to put you an extra phone point in. British Telecom will charge you in the region of £125 for this, and my price as a guide is approximately £70. The Lifeline Care Line control unit will need to go in the lounge, near to where the person sits for most of the day, and requires a telephone socket and an electrical socket.
So if your relative is organising a Care Line to be fitted and you need an extra telephone socket, give me a call! 07790 200800
